How much does the patch cost?

If you have health insurance—whether it’s through your parents, school, job, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplace, or Medicaid—chances are good that you’ll be able to get the patch with no out-of-pocket cost.

If you don’t have health insurance, it’s true that the monthly cost of the patch can be high. If that isn’t an option for you, the manufacturer of the patch offers a discount, and you can also check with the family planning clinics around you and find out if they offer discounts or payment plans for the patch. Check out our patch details page for more information about costs.

Still not working?

If you find it’s still just too expensive, you have other options. Some varieties of the pill (generics, in particular) may be cheaper than the patch, but don’t forget that you need to take the pill every single day.
