How to celebrate Pride this year

Read this before you look up rainbow eyeshadow tutorials

It’s Pride month! Yes, that means lots of fun events and general joie de vivre, but it’s about so much more than that. This year, consider doing the following to celebrate Pride (and don’t worry, you can still paint rainbows on your face and go get drunk, just do these things first):

  1. Respect everyone’s bodily autonomy.
  2. Learn people’s preferred gender pronouns and use them.
  3. Stop assuming you can tell what people want to do with their genitals just by looking at them—you can’t.
  4. Learn about LGBTQ+ history.
  5. Mind your damn business.

Have fun and, as always, don’t be a d*ck. Have one, ride one, love one, but don’t be one.

XOXO,
