Can people see that I’m using the implant for birth control?
Does the implant show?
No, but you can feel it if you press on your arm where it was inserted. And if others are looking at that part of your arm while you’re doing the pressing, they might see it, too. As long as you’re not drawing attention to it, no one else should see that it’s there. If you can’t feel the implant in your arm, check with a health care provider to make sure it’s correctly placed.
Note: It’s totally normal to have a bruise on your arm for a few days after having it placed, so it’s possible someone could see that bruise.
