Is Opill the same as emergency contraception (EC)? Is it the same as the abortion pill?
Nope. Opill is a birth control pill, meaning that you take it consistently to prevent pregnancy. (A store brand version, simply called “norgestrel daily oral contraceptive,” is also available at Walgreens and CVS.) EC allows you to prevent pregnancy AFTER having unprotected sex. The abortion pill ends a pregnancy that has already started.
