I'm using the implant. Are the side effects like feeling moody, bloated, and nervous going to go away?
I feel moody, bloated, or nervous.
Side effects are common in the first few months of getting your implant. If they feel bearable, you may want to give it a little time for your body to adjust to the hormones. Side effects typically tend to become less intense or go away entirely after 6 months. However, if you’re not feeling the implant, you can have it removed and switch to another birth control method at anytime.
Still not working?
If you’re not happy with your implant, even if it’s been less than 6 months, you can switch to a different method of birth control, like the pill, patch, ring, or IUD.
