Does birth control make you infertile?

No, when you stop using your birth control method, your chances of getting pregnancy will go back to what’s normal for you. The only exceptions are sterilization which is permanent and the shot which can reduce your chances of getting pregnant for several months to a year after stopping. No other methods have long-lasting effects on your ability to get pregnant when you stop.
