Am I going to have spotting with the shot?

Probably. Almost everyone has some unpredictable bleeding or spotting in the first three months of using the shot, but over time the spotting usually gets better—or goes away completely.

Still not working?

If you aren’t happy with the way the shot is changing your period, try the combination pill, patch, or ring. If you want a method that won’t change when your period comes, try a non-hormonal method like condoms or a copper IUD.
